aaaah wat a wonderful world of photography for now i will look into portraiture.  wen i first looked at this word i was like "WAT!" but wen i got to learn more about it my wording changed to wow. my guide words where portrait, people and the body. fascinating i bet u sum of u ddnt knw tht our bodies is also seen as art,  n m nt talking wat we humans do best : the art of eating, sleeping n yes of course......... drum roll..........sex. Nw m jst taking about our bodies, faces, featuers seen as art, take for example the ancient Paleolithic, Lascaux cave painting not exactly photography but one can c tht humans began to have n understanding of  figure drawings even though they ddnt recognise it as themselve but rather as rituals before a big hunt, one can deduce tht tht gave way to wat we call photography today.

the Venus of  Willendorf, this was the first human depicted or rather shown in art. the subject at hand (being this statue) is a representation of ancient women. the valaptuos lady represented pregnant women or fertile women. the women was considered wealthy wen she was big n chubby cos it showed the man tht she was fertile. wen analysing this image i see tht there are no definate facial features thus it can be deduced tht it ddnt matter how the women looked facially bt how big her body was once again showing wealth. The Venus Willendorf clearly shows example of 'human- centered art.'

The Egyptian painting showed structure and proportionality. everything they would bulid for example pyramids, statues, etc would be mathematically be calculated even their painting and drawing would also show signs of calculation and measurement because they would draw grids as guide lines, to help with the drawings.
